Well, I made it up to Oakland last night for my house-sitting/pet-sitting job. I'll be taking care of Maureen and Cody's chickens for close to a month. Maureen gave me a short tutorial, but basically I am totally clueless about chickens. In fact, I didn't even really know what a real chicken looked like up close! I've survived my first few hours of taking care of the chickens and kittens by myself tonight. Yay! Here begins my fascinating tale...the chronicles of a first-time chicken-sitter...
